Eww-Weee!

It's amazing to me that with the very little vocabulary Sadie has, she really has a way of communicating effectively. I'm sure that's because she is a female, but that's a completely different subject! So, the other night she wasn't sleeping very well and after Ryan and I taking turns going in and checking on her I was the one to throw in the towel. A fresh diaper it was and off to Mommy's bed. We were all nestled in close and she leaned in quietly and whispered, "Thank You." It sounds more like "Geek Goo," but I knew what she meant...so sweet.

Morning time rolled around and I was quietly checking e-mail while she continued to sleep. She was slow to wake up and had her eyes open, but no movement. I snuggled in close and quietly told her good morning (neither one of my kids are morning people...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!). She looked directly down at my mouth and LOUDLY announced "EWW-WEEE!" Not so sweet, but I knew exactly what she meant!

Our Newest Addition (or Replacement!)

Before Sadie was born we had the bright idea to get Cooper a fish. The first fish was orange and was appropriately named Orangie. The next 10 fish after that were all orange and had the same name...Orangie. After an obvious round of bad luck with the orange guppies, we switched to a yellow one...who's name was Lemon.

Lemon was a rock star fish who lived for a super long time...like 9 months or so...until Saturday night. RIP Lemon.

When Orangie died it was tragic. We thought flushing him was a brilliant idea, but Coop flipped! And cried and cried and cried...so we were a bit nervous when he announced the Lemon was stuck on the filter...just like Orangie was. But Cooper marched over to grab the net, fished him out and took him straight to the toilie.

He then announced that Lemon was going to heaven for his next life, which would be better. He would be with Orangie and they would have such a great time! "That's what I learned in Children's Church, Mom." So sweet and so smart and so right on.

Yesterday we brought home the new guppy...a red one...named Apple.

Water Damage...

Is not good for a camera.
My camera was floated in apple juice.
My favorite camera.
It's now gone for a visit at the camera hospital...
where they assure me it can be repaired...for a fee.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Hey Sadie...why do you love Daddy? Oh, let us count the ways! We love Daddy because he is patient and kind. We love Daddy because he loves to play outside and get dirty. We love Daddy because he takes us to McDonald's for dinner. We love Daddy because he sometimes forgets we actually have a bedtime. We love Daddy because he knows right where to tickle us. We love Daddy because he tells the best stories and sometimes falls asleep with us after there over. We love Daddy because he knows the way to the Farm. We love Daddy because he throws us so high in the pool. We love Daddy because he's the best baseball player ever. We love our Daddy so much, we can't count the ways! Hope you enjoyed your Father's Day! We love you Daddy!

Vacation

Since Cooper was born, Ryan and I normally take him everywhere with us...vacation, business trips, etc. So he is pretty used to "going." With the move, Ryan's new job and our trip to Canada we decided it would be best to skip the actual vacation. However, Cooper did notice and I never realized just how many Disney World commercials are on T.V....come on! With all of the begging he's been doing, I decided it would be so nice to spend a week with my kids, even if we don't really go too far. So for the entire week we will be doing only kids stuff...and eating kid food too! I'm ready...bring on the vacation!

House Update!

After truly the longest 17 days ever...we have not 1, but 2 contracts on our house! Thanks Dad! I may be dramatic...okay...I AM dramatic...but I'm not sure I can handle any more strangers nosing around my digs! Especially during dinner time...I am sick out eating out with 2 kids! So if this all plays out like I think it will, we will move out of here on/around 7/17 and move into the new house on 9/1. What to do in the middle you ask? That is still up for debate and a final decision has not been made. Thanks to my wonderful family, we have a couple of different options to work out! Now, who wants to help me clean, pack, go through junk, move and then unpack and decorate?

Jeans

So the Cooper "clothes wars" have continued at the Rowden house. He has officially decided to move to Colorado...it's cold there all year (according to him) and you can wear jeans everyday! I have even resorted to buying him jean shorts...which I swore I would NEVER do! I'm hoping this is just a faze! In addition, with all of the rainy days we've been having he asks EVERY morning..."Can I wear jeans today? The suns not shining!" I thought the clothes issues were supposed to be with the little girls? And, he's only 4...what will we be dealing with when he's 16?

Mr. Sippi

Old Cooper story that I was reminded of tonight while we were counting...

Several months ago during a game of hide and seek I was counting...Mississippi 1, Mississippi 2, Mississippi 3...

As Cooper starts his turn I hear him say...Mr. Sippi 1, Mr. Sippi 2, Mr. Sippi 3...

As I correct him, he says..."Mom, you're a girl...so you're a Missa and I'm a boy so I'm a Mr.!"

Pool Time

One of our favorite things to do in the summer is hang out at the pool! And luckily both of our kids LOVE the water! Up until now I have thought Coop would be the fearless one, but I think Sadie Re is going to give him a run for his money! Here are a couple of pictures of their first dip...it was FREEZING! I had assumed it would be to cold to swim...hence the long sleeves I have on! Sadie had no swimming suit and we put a life jacket on Cooper so he could swim alone. They didn't seem to mind...but I hope it warms up quick!
