NaNa's Pajama Party
A couple of weeks ago we received an impromptu invitation to a Pajama Party at my Mom's. So on a Tuesday night after dinner I bathed the kids and we put on our jams and headed to NaNa's! We were decked out in our best nighties complete with slippers! All I could think of the whole way there was...please don't let me get pulled over in this nightgown! When we arrived at Nan's we found the makings and I mean THE MAKINGS for banana splits! We had a great time and even did a video chat with Luis in Colombia so he could be apart of the event...kind of! I will spare my family the embarrassment of the "jammie pics," but just know we were looking good!

Soccer!
Who's coaching...Ryan or Cooper? See Cooper far left holding court.
Coach WAY more into this than the Mean Green Team.
Coop and his best-buddy Max giving me their "best" smiles!
As most of you probably know, one of Cooper's new endeavors is Pre-K soccer. Also, as most of you know I have a serious problem with telling people "no." Am I getting better? Yes. Do I always follow through? NO. This being said, I have gotten Ryan a new gig...as a Pre-K soccer coach! He has NEVER played, been a spectator, nor wanted to learn about the sport of soccer so this has been highly entertaining to watch! Also, we have discovered that Cooper doesn't really care much for soccer either...but they are both being good sports about it and I am proud of them! Thanks Ryan for being such a good sport and to Cooper for sticking it out...we are not quitters (**insert Mom trying to teach her child a lesson.)! Here are some more recent pictures of our soccer escapades...

Pandora Radio
I may be WAY outdated, but I've recently come across a cool site that I really enjoy. Like most of you, I spend a lot of time with my laptop for both work and personal use...most recently for personal! Between blogging and Facebook, I should maybe take a break! Anyway, check out Pandora Radio at http://pandora.com/. You sign up for the free site and you can build your own play list...totally FREE! This really sets itself apart from your iPod...it's FREE and you don't need an extra device. You choose your genres or search for artists and as they play, you can give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down. It even apologizes for playing a song you don't like which makes me giggle every time! Once you choose some different things you like, you can create a Quick Mix which will rotate you different styles. Enjoy!

Gag!
So I normally try to keeping this "family" blog positive, but I'm totally annoyed and grossed out and thought I would share. Tonight I've been baking cupcakes...really awesome one's of course...yummy chocolate with traditional butter cream frosting...omg!
Anyway, let me get back on track...I've baked cupcakes and decide to indulge myself before I hit the hay. Great for my body I know, but I have NO willpower! Along with my cupcake I decide to have a glass of milk. I'm not a huge milk fan, so when my body wants milk I give my body milk. I just bought a BRAND new gallon of 1% milk with the Central Dairy label (expiration date 5/6/2009). If you are from J-Town you were RAISED on Central Dairy products and that's probably all you know...like me.
So I sit down with my FABULOUS cupcake and take a swig of milk. Holy s%&*!! A CHUNK! Seriously a chunk of curdled milk! I think I have officially sworn off milk and I'm not sure I can even make my kids drink it. Don't worry...I've already sent emails to Schnucks and Prairie Farms (the company that purchased Central Dairy). The emails made me feel a little better, but I think maybe I will switch to soy.
**Side note: Ash- the cupcakes have no milk...so we're good! Can't wait to share them with you tomorrow. I even have a few to share with the Sells family too!
**UPDATE- Just about 12 hours after my midnight rant and emails to both Schnucks and Prairie Farms, I received calls/emails from both concerned about their valued customer. Both were quick to "swap out" my milk and Schnucks is sending a gift card. Very nice, however I did decline the milk...I think I need a break! Although I'm not over choking down the chunks, I'm very impressed by the customer service I received from both companies!

Testing Testing 123
Did you know you can blog from your BlackBerry?? Holy cow...what's next? This might be a little intense for me, but thought I'd check it out anyway!
Mom!!
A short, funny Cooper story on a Monday morning.
Coop: MOOOMMM!!! She got LICK on me!
Mom: I'm so sorry...I'm sure she didn't mean to lick you.
Coop: No....she got lick ON ME! **Insert dramatic gagging noises.
Mom: I'm sorry buddy, I don't really know what LICK is.
Coop: You know...LICK!!! (Getting really upset, sticks out and wiggles his tongue) AND HER LICK DRIPPED ON ME!!
I tried to explain that she didn't mean to get LICK on him, but he wasn't feeling it. Maybe LICK can be a new term of endearment?

The G-O-A-T-S
Yep, you read right...goats. Somehow, we (Ryan) ended up purchasing 2 goats for the Farm. Before taking them to the Farm, they were brought home to share with the kids. What a great Easter present...right?? Billy Bob and Billy Ray the Billy Goats...one for each kid! Prior to them living on West Main, I thought..."how cool! Just like Grants Farm...right??" WRONG! The cute bottles I bought they would not drink out of. Holding still for the kids to pet...no way! But I will say, the entertainment value you for myself and our neighbors was great! We kept them in the dog pen for 2 days, where they stood on top of the dog house! Our neighbors had a great time taking pics on their camera phones, it's not everyday you seen goats in J-Town!

Gator Ride
Here is a short video of Cooper's most prized possessions...his John Deere Gator! Somehow, Ryan convinced him to take his sister for a ride and here is a peak! She loved it...I think you can tell by the cute little squeal at the end!
Rainy Weekend
Last weekend we had terrible weather here...rainy, windy, cold, blah! On top of the crummy weather, Ryan was out of town after also being gone most of the week for work. How do you entertain 2 small children inside for most of the weekend you ask? Here is a peak of some of the things we did!
